The first thing you should do if you want to lose some weight is to buy a digital scale. I think this seems easy enough. Such a purchase is recommended before you start a diet. Remember to buy a scale that is accurate to at least .2 (two-hundredths of a pound). The reason for this will be explained in a while. What is more, you should also purchase a scale that provides the option to record your daily weight. You can also log you weight manually everyday. I bought a scale that was accurate to .2 and logged my weight for just $22 and it has been surely worth the money I spent for it.
Next important step to gain control over your weight is to weigh yourself everyday. Virtually every dieter or nutrition specialist will advise you to weigh yourself only once a week. Personally, I recommend you to do the exact opposite. Some people are very goal oriented and they like to see results everyday. Now, the reason I recommend purchasing a scale that is very accurate is that there is a significant difference between weighting 170.8 one day and 170.0 the next day. If you are able to lose.8 pounds in one day this is a great success. However, if don’t have an accurate scale to report the actual loss it will show 170 after a day of healthy eating and working out, which will probably make you feel very discouraged. Having more accurate scale allows you to keep a positive outlook more easily. Remember, the more successes (measured in days with positive weight loss) the easier it becomes.

These are two questions you might want to ask your plastic surgeon during a consultation:

Will I be awake or asleep for surgery?
Think about general, sedation, and local anesthesia. Bear in mind that you may be asleep during either general or sedation anesthesia, although the depth of sleep will be different.

May I see pictures of people who have had the same procedure?
Be aware that most surgeons will present you their best pictures, so this question may be of limited help. This is actually most useful if you don’t like the results you see, because it gives you the information that your surgeon’s best achievements are below your expectations and you should probably try see someone else.
